Today is Earth Day, where armchair environmental activists gather to show their support of the crumbling environment. Sea levels are rising, Porter Ranch spewed natural gas for months, Peru had its 20th oil spill in 5 years, Olympians will have to swim in Rio’s sewage-strewn waters, Flint’s drinking water has lead in it, water reservoirs in California are almost dry, nuclear waste is leaking everywhere, Beijing disappeared under a thick blanket of toxic smog, millions of cubic feet of sea floor are being dredged up from the Great Barrier Reef, diesel Volkswagens are emitting NOx, and electric cars are on the rise, so is lithium mining. We are making great progress saving the planet! Okay, not really. Despite all this... Happy Earth Day! 🌎
